September 9, 2026 — OTC announces new local sales, use, and lodging tax rates effective October 2026

The Oklahoma Tax Commission's September 2026 sales and use tax distribution report (cities received $223.7 million; counties received $42.3 million) also announced new local rate changes taking effect in October 2026: a new 10% lodging tax in Bristow, a 3% sales/use tax in Laverne, a 5% sales/use tax in Salina, a new 4% sales/use tax in Selah, and a 3.5% sales/use tax in Wellston.

September 9, 2026 — Oklahoma State Treasurer's August 2026 Tax Revenue Report: 12-month revenue reaches $18.0 billion

State Treasurer Todd Russ released the August 2026 State Tax Revenue Report, showing Oklahoma's 12-month revenue total reached $18.0 billion, up $1.3 billion (6.1%) year-over-year — the 12th consecutive month of growth.
