Edward Moore, EA, will provide a one hour CE presentation starting at 2:00 pm on "Representation in Practice" for a 1 hour CE event.
This course provides a practical, case-study-based approach to taxpayer representation before the Internal Revenue Service. Using real-world examples, participants will learn how to evaluate client issues, identify deadlines, gather and analyze IRS records, conduct research, develop representation strategies, and advocate for taxpayers through the resolution process. Topics include responding to IRS notices, handling CP2000 document matching cases, substantiating positions on amended returns, resolving issues involving retirement distributions, working with IRS transcripts, researching tax authority, and communicating effectively with the IRS. Emphasis is placed on the representation workflow from initial client contact through final resolution, highlighting the investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills necessary for successful taxpayer advocacy.
